This year I decided to travel by train in Europe. I love train, which I consider much more comfortable than plane, and not less cheap nor any longer. Plus it’s better for the environment. I took a 5-days interrail pass, which so allow for five travel days.

I am going, in order :

Three nights in a host place, to get off from hostels. It means I am staying two days each city, to round the place, enjoy food and drinks, museums and castles.

Kiel

I decided for Kiel in the first place to see that WWII German submarine. I am truly looking forward to it. Such a beautiful engineering marvel (yet so bad it was a war thing).

Obviously, German bier and food are much awaited too.

Prague

I wanted for a long time to see Prague. Some of the best biers in the world, or so they say. Good food too. The whimsical, bohemian side, the architecture and the beautiful buildings.

I wanted to meet again Petra, which I met while she was in Erasmus in La Rochelle.

Maybe a tour in the red-light quarters. Just a little walk there might be worth.

Vienne

Vienna, it’s the architecture, the imperial palaces, the artistic, bourgeois side. So I am surely going to round the museums.

Munich

I imagine Munich as a Vienna-bis. So there, once again, museums, including the famous Pinacothèque. Plus bier. But I am staying there only two nights, so only one full day.

Let see how it goes. Are you following ?
